Google Travel Executive Forum 2016

Snowdrop attended two Google events this autumn.

The first one was the Google Travel Executive Forum 2016, hosted at The Foundry, in Google Offices in Dublin. It was a two-day event with approximately 400 participants from the travel industry.

The theme of the event was “Stop Running, Start Transforming”, focusing on how Google Cloud can transform your business, with insightful presentations from Snowdrop customers Tui Travel and lastminute.com among others.

Snowdrop Solutions were the only Premium Partner in attendance and were able to share our thought leadership in the travel sector with a wide range of attendees.

Some key transformational takeaways we are still buzzing about are:

  1. Offering: “differentiation” is not only a buzzword but a necessity.
  2. Marketing: Audiences are the new keywords.
  3. Organisation: Incremental changes embed change and guide medium to longer term sizable performance improvement
  4. Mindset: an exploration in transforming the way you think about every detail.

Around a month after that, Snowdrop also attended another event by Google, this time in Amsterdam: the Google Travel Summit Event.

Google Maps asked Snowdrop to present to the Google travel summit in Amsterdam the various solutions rolled out to date.

Ken Hart from Snowdrop and Ulrika Gunnari from Google Maps shared with over 50 travel industry managers the best practices for the travel and transportation industry and how to boost consumer engagement.
